9 ways to cleanse your system!

Just as we clean our house, our clothes, and our surroundings, it’s important to cleanse our system too.

But clean of what you may ask?

The simple answer is – “Toxins

Toxins are substances that have the ability to harm our body. Unfortunately, we come into contact with them every day — like pesticides, pollutants, processed food, or mercury and arsenic in the soil, are just a few examples.

In my view, anything can be toxic if you take too much of it. Like if you’re eating a ton of sugar, it would end up being a toxin for your body.

Scared???

Hold on. Before you get too worked up about toxins, let me remind you that “Your Body Cleanses Itself”

However if you’re constantly consuming environmental toxins and skipping essential nutrients or isn’t properly hydrated, then your body’s natural cleaning process will be hampered.

This is where cleansing comes into picture.

WHAT IS A CLEANSE?

It’s any kind of food, diet or lifestyle choice that helps in cleaning the body and restoring its optimal health. These diets help in eliminating junk from your meals and also fuel your body with nutrient-rich foods that would accelerate your natural cleansing processes.

In short, by bringing your diet down to the essentials, you’re offering your liver and kidneys a chance to do their job more efficiently.

And the important thing to keep in mind is that, avoid any plan that is harsh or extreme, as ‘cleansing your system’ is best done as naturally as possible.

So here are some WAYS to get your body cleansed.

1. Replace a meal each day with a smoothie

Adding a smoothie into your meal plan is a great way to kickstart your metabolism and to pump up your digestive system into overdrive. You will experience a natural energy and may also notice that some of the symptoms that you suffer like heaviness are gone with this natural boost.

2. Shift to organic foods whenever possible

I will not suggest you to completely alter your diet but start of with certain foods. You may refer to “Dirty Dozen”, it’s a list that contains foods where pesticides and preservatives can build up and can be consumed and ingested during digestion.

The thing to keep in mind is that, if you eat the peel of the fruit or vegetable than opt for organic. For example strawberries, apples, and tomatoes.

3. Drink far far more water

Water is the most natural element, and one of the most effective to naturally cleanse your system. So even if you think you drink enough I would still suggest to have some more. A good water intake will give you clearer skin, efficiently functioning organs, and effective circulatory, respiratory, and digestive system.

4. Replace the morning coffee with green tea

Green tea offers important antioxidants that our body needs in the most natural form. It offers a slight caffeine boost that can help to get you jump started n the morning, just as coffee does. So if you choose to replace your morning cup of coffee with a cup of green tea, you still get a caffeine boost and some actual health benefits as well.

5. Get in more exercise and sweat it out

Exercise not just helps the body in shedding fat and excess weight, but it also gets rid of toxins that get build up. As you sweat the toxins can come out and a self cleansing happens. It even helps with digestion and circulation.

6. Consume more fiber, BUT in its most natural form

Our bodies, especially our digestive tracts, tend to hold to toxins, preservatives or sometimes just waste that doesn’t get properly disposed of by the body. The end result of that you may feel weighed down, bloated, or unusually tired, which may further cause health problems.

In these cases, fiber acts as an excellent supplement and cleansing are just one of them.

7. Try to addon superfoods into your meals

The best thing about superfoods is that they are full of important nutrients and antioxidants which our bodies require to fight off infections.

Superfoods are a delicious and nutritious group of foods including foods rich in Omega 3 fatty acids like:

Avocado, Walnuts, Almonds, Olive Oil or Flax Seeds

You can also turn to fruits and vegetables that are bright in colour as that means that their dark hue contains plenty of antioxidants. Options such as these make great choices for this reason:

Blueberries, Raspberries, Spinach, Kale, Eggplant, Tomatoes, Carrots, Sweet Potatoes, Apples or Oranges

8. Cut out simple carbohydrates, white sugar and flour, and any fried foods

Many people don’t understand just how harmful products made with white sugar or flour can be, but they result in toxins in the body that you don’t want. These simple carbohydrates make you feel full and satisfied when you eat them, but behind the scenes you are experiencing a surge and then fall of your blood sugar level.

The rise and fall of blood sugar is not good for weight loss, and the deposit of preservatives and harmful substances result in toxins that can slow you down and ultimately make you sick in the process.

9. Eliminate common sources of toxins such as excessive caffeine, alcohol, tobacco, and processed foods

You might not realize it, but excessive alcohol or caffeine can act much in the same way. Having a bit of caffeine or alcohol isn’t the problem, but when you binge or drink too much of either, it’s not a good thing. Over time these can turn into toxins that the body can’t process. You will feel the dependence and the health problems will keep mounting.

The same goes for processed foods, fried foods, or others that are made with unnatural ingredients. Anything that doesn’t come from the earth or that has chemically enhanced ingredients isn’t good for your ability to naturally cleanse or feel healthy and strong.

As you can see, cleansing can be done in so many different ways.

But it’s also important to remember that It’s normal that toxins tend to build up in the body over time, so it’s important to recognize regular cleansing as part of a truly healthy lifestyle.

Naturally and effectively cleanse the body, but also help you to get to the best health possible.

Try not to look at these methods and ideas as a chore, but rather a way to take care of yourself. We tend to look at cleansing as an extreme measure, when they shouldn’t be. Just as we would exercise or eat the right foods, natural cleansing is yet another way that we take care of our bodies. As you can see, some of the methods can actually be enjoyable and can also contribute to better mental health as well as physical.

The end result is a BETTER VERSION OF YOURSELF.
